What’s in a Name? Code 42 Software Rebrands CrashPlan PRO to CrashPlan PROe

June 7, 2011

As you may have heard around the Internet water cooler, we at Code 42 have announced the rebranding of CrashPlan PRO to CrashPlan PROe. The rebranding initiative is focused on more clearly identifying CrashPlan PROe as an enterprise-grade back up solution, while also making way for our (drum roll)… soon-to-be-released product specifically for small and medium-sized businesses!

Many of the largest enterprises around the world trust CrashPlan PROe to continuously protect data and deliver complete control over every aspect of protection. CrashPlan PROe has features that no other business backup solution offers, including: cross-platform support for Windows, Mac, Linux and Solaris (both client and server), multiple destination and multiple location support, unrivaled support for laptop backup, de-duplication, enterprise name service integration, custom installers and comprehensive reporting.

The new backup service will assume the name “CrashPlan PRO” and is intended to serve the backup needs of businesses with up to 200 computers.

Check back later this month for additional information about CrashPlan PROe and CrashPlan PRO.
