How do I sign in?
You use your CrashPlan PRO account email address and password to sign in to the app.
Can I access my data if I use a private password or private data key?
Not at this time. You can only access data that is protected with your account password.
What does Stay signed in mean?
When you select Stay signed in, you remain signed into the app until explicitly choose to sign out. Use this option, so that you do not have to re-enter your user name and password when you next launch the app. To clear this, simply sign out and uncheck Stay signed in.
How do I log out?
You can log out at any time by pressing the MENU button and selecting Sign Out.
What types of files can I download with the app?
You can download any file from any computer on your account, so long that it is backed up to CrashPlan's online destination (PRO Cloud).
Can I download files that I've backed up to other destinations?
Only if you have also backed up those files to PRO Cloud.
Why can't I see some of my files?
Verify that the CrashPlan PRO Backup software is running and has recently backed up your files to PRO Cloud.
How do I download and view a file?
Tap on a computer name to view a list of files that you can download. Tap a file to start downloading it to your device. A progress indicator next to the file name shows download progress. After the download is complete, tap on the file again to view it.
How do I download multiple files?
After you've started downloading the first file, tap on another file to add it to your download queue. Files download in the order in which you added them to the queue.
Where can I see the files that I have downloaded to my device?
You can view downloaded files on the Downloaded Files screen.
What types of files can I view?
You can view any type of file that you download, so long as you have installed an app that supports it. For example, you can view images with the Gallery app.
How can I see which files I have in my download queue?
Your download queue is visible on the Downloaded Files screen.
How do I remove a file from my download queue?
Tap on the file you want to remove from the queue. The download indicator disappears.
How do I download a more recent version of a file that has been backed up to PRO Cloud?
On the Home screen, an Update button that indicates how many files have newer versions available. Tap this button to add all the updated files to the download queue. To update an individual file, go to the Downloaded Files and tap the Update button. To add all the updated files to the download queue, press the MENU button and select Update All.
Can I edit the files that I have downloaded to my device?
You can edit files if you have the apps on your device that support the file type you'd like to edit. Long-press the file you'd like to edit and select Save To Downloads from the list. This creates a copy of the file, in the Downloads folder of your SD card. The CrashPlan PRO mobile app does not track any changes to this copy.
How do I delete a file that I have downloaded?
On the Downloaded Files screen, long-press the file you'd like to delete and select Delete File from the list. Alternatively, you can press the MENU button and select Delete All, to delete all of your downloaded files.
How do I share my downloaded files?
Long-press on the file you'd like to share and select Share from the list. Then select the app installed on your device to share the file with.
What happens to my downloaded files if I uninstall the app?
All of the files you have downloaded will remain in a CrashPlan PRO folder on your SD card. You can delete this folder if you wish. Any file that you've saved to your Downloads folder of your SD card is not removed will remain in the Downloads folder.
Can I see my current backup status?
On the Home screen, your current backup status is listed for each computer on your account. It also shows last backup time, percent complete and last backup.
Can I back up the data from my device to PRO Cloud?
No. The CrashPlan PRO mobile app only allows you to access your files backed up to PRO Cloud.
Can I manage my CrashPlan settings from the mobile app?
No. The app does not allow you to remotely administer your CrashPlan PRO software.
Can I download files from other users in my company?
No. You can only download files from computers associated with your account email address.
